אֱגוֹדm. (אגד I) band. Y.Sabb.VI, 8a bot.; Y.Yeb.XII, 12d top א׳ מלבינקי a band (of bast) with which mala punica (pomegranates) are tied together.Pl. אֱגוֹדִים, const. אֱגוֹדֵי. Peah VI, 10 א׳ השום stalks of garlic plant used for tying bunches; (oth. opin. bunches of garlic on one stalk), opp. to אגודות tied bunches. (Tosef. ib. III, 8 אוגוּרֵי ed. Zuck., piles of garlic, v. אֵגוֹר. (Num. R. s. 4 beg. חטים אגודיהם, v. אֵגוֹרִי.
